Armed Robbery Reported on Monday Morning at North Broad Convenience Store
Rome Police responded to a report of an armed robbery – early Monday at the North Broad Food Mart. According to Rome Police reports, video footage showed a man in a mask going behind the counter and pointing a handgun at the store clerk. The suspect can be seen taking cash from the register estimated to be around $1,500.
At one point, the suspect’s mask fell, showing a little more of his face. He appeared to be an older black male with a beard. The man entered the store at 2:22am – and he was there only around 30 seconds before leaving on foot, walking toward Harvey Street. He remains at large.
