Rome Teen Killed While Riding Bike on Shorter Avenue
The Rome Police are investigating the tragic death of a 15-year-old, who was killed when he fell off of his bicycle – while riding on the sidewalk on Shorter Avenue Friday night at around 10:30. Rome Police Assistant Police Chief Debbie Burnett called it “…a terrible tragedy”.
The teen, Livano Alexander Ramirez Nolasco, originally from Guatemala, was living with his uncle in Rome and attending Rome City Schools.
Police said it appeared that the teen fell off his bicycle – and into the path of an oncoming SUV. He was pronounced dead at the scene.
