Information Released on North Georgia Crash this Week

Late on Thursday afternoon, the Georgia State Patrol Public Information Office released a Preliminary Report, regarding a wreck on Highway 100 near Lick Skillet Road that happened on Wednesday evening.  That report indicated that a Ford F-150 was traveling southbound on GA 100, while negotiating a curve to the right.  That truck exited the left side of the roadway, and struck a ditch and road sign with its front.  The truck continued traveling a ditch for over 100 feet before returning to the roadway and exited the right side of the roadway; the pickup then struck a ditch and a tree with its front.

During the course of the investigation into the matter it was determined that the driver of the pickup truck was impaired and charged with DUI.

The name of the driver was NOT released in the preliminary report – but we will have more information as it becomes available.
