Floyd County Man arrested on Drug Charges Following Traffic Stop
A recent traffic stop on Shorter Avenue at South Sycamore Street – ended with the arrest of a Rome man on drug charges. According to Floyd County Jail records – an officer stopped a vehicle that was being driven by 60-year-old Milford Dillard Morrison for the Failure to Maintain a Lane.
Due to the odor of marijuana – that vehicle was searched, with the officer finding a glass jar, containing suspected marijuana – and also, an amount of suspected cocaine. Morrison was charged with the Possession of both Cocaine and Marijuana. He is also charged with Distracted Driving, DUI, Driving with a Suspended, or Revoked License, also Failure to Maintain a Lane, Open Container and with the Possession of a Fraudulent License or Identification Card.
