Centre, Alabama Man Charged with Injuring Infant in Georgia

A Centre man is currently facing felony charges for allegedly breaking a four-month-old baby’s ribs.

According to an arrest warrant at the Floyd County Jail, 19-year-old Damon Eugene Soles. Jr. squeezed the infant’s torso causing multiple broken ribs; the child had to be hospitalized due to the medical complications from the broken ribs.  The incident reportedly occurred on November 1st at a location on Excelsior Street in Rome.

Soles stands charged with felony counts of First Degree Cruelty to Children and Aggravated Battery.
