One person was injured in a single-vehicle accident, which took place on Thursday morning in Etowah County.
According to the Alabama State Troopers Post – the mishap was on U.S. Highway 11 at around 9:10am when a 2016 Toyota Four Runner left the roadway and crashed injuring the driver, a male from Crossville, who was transported by ambulance to UAB. Reports indicated that the driver possibly fell asleep behind the wheel, went off the roadway and the vehicle overturned.
That wreck remains under investigation by members of ALEA.
