Two Investigators Added at Cherokee County Sheriff’s Office

On Monday, Cherokee County Sheriff Jeff Shaver, along with Chief Deputy Josh Summerford, promoted Jonah Smith to investigator.  Smith previously served as a corporal on patrol and has many times shown his dedication to the Sheriff’s Office.

Also on Monday, Sheriff Shaver administered the Oath of Office to Chase Garrett, who will serve as a new investigator as well.  Garrett comes to the Cherokee County Sheriff’s Office bringing a large number of years of law enforcement experience with him.

Investigators Smith and Garrett will join the CCSO Investigative Team to work on all types of felony crimes in Cherokee County, but will specifically focus on combating drug crimes.
