Mr.Jack Donald Williams

Services for Mr. Jack Donald Williams, 83, of the Mountain Springs
community will be Friday, November 10, 2023 at 2:00 p.m. at Thompson
Funeral Home with Mr. Brady Burns officiating.

Burial will follow at
Gnatville Cemetery. The family will receive friends at the funeral
home Friday from 12:00 until 2:00 p.m.

Mr. Williams passed away
Monday, November 6, 2023 at his home surrounded by his loving family.

Mr. Williams is survived by his wife of 64 years Elaine Megnin
Williams; 2 children, LaVonda Hardin (Bobby) of Piedmont and Don
Williams (Lore) of Mountain Springs; six grandchildren, Brady Burns
(Allyson) of Piedmont, Patrick Smith (Tesika) of Mountain Springs,
Josie Smith (Marcos) of Knoxville, Tennessee, Stephen Smith of Centre,
Taylor Hardin of Gadsden and Mayce Hardin of Tuscaloosa; six
great-grandchildren, Henry Burns, Jratyn Humphries, Declan Smith, Halo
Smith, Carmen Polanco, and Isabella Polanco; four sisters, Jeanette
Griffith, Marie Wood (Robert), Wanda Ledbetter (Von) and Deborah
Eubanks (Tony) all of Piedmont; three brothers, Woodrow Williams, Jr.
(Bettina) of Madison, Dale Williams (Susie) and Steve Williams (Janie)
all of Piedmont; and one sister-in-law, Ruth Williams of Centre; and
numerous nieces and nephews.

Pallbearers will be Kevin Woods, Rodney
Wood, Randall Wood, Shane Williams, Haden Williams, and Ron Young. Mr.
Williams was a native and lifelong resident of the Mountain Springs
community and was a member of the Piedmont Church of Christ. He was a
1958 graduate of Cherokee County High School and retired from Goodyear
Tire and Rubber Company with 34 years of service. He enjoyed antique
tractors and was a member of the WEIS Lake Antique Power Association.
He raised cattle and was a longtime member of the Alabama
Cattleman’s Association. He loved life on his farm and spending time
with his family. Mr. Williams was preceded in death by his parents,
Woodrow and Dora Williams; brother, David Williams; and son-in-law,
Gathan Burns.
