Two specialty license plates in Alabama have a new look.
The Alabama Department of Revenue stated redesigned Protect our Environment – and University of South Alabama tags – were available starting November 1st and the specialty plates cost an additional $50 each.
Net proceeds from the fee for the “Protect our Environment” tag go to Legacy Inc. and for all its efforts to provide environmental education in state classrooms; the tag features a crane standing in a pond with a fish jumping from the water, with a butterfly in the background.
Net proceeds from the USA tag will go to the University General Scholarship fund – and it features a red, white and blue theme – including a red jaguar, the school mascot, on a blue background with white “USA” underneath.
