One person was hurt after – according to accident reports – the brakes went out on their vehicle, as they were traveling down a steep incline on a stretch of Highway 27 in DeKalb County, late Monday afternoon.
According to the Alabama State Troopers Post in Jacksonville, a 1998 Oldsmobile Aurora left the roadway and wrecked, around 4:25pm injuring the driver, a female of Henagar, in the mishap. According to reports her brakes had malfunctioned – leading to the crash. She was then carried by ambulance to a nearby hospital, for the treatment of injuries sustained in the wreck.
The incident remains under investigation by State Troopers.
