Atrium Health Floyd Medical Center has again received an “A” Hospital Safety Grade from The Leapfrog Group, celebrating the hospital’s commitment to protecting patients from preventable harm and errors.
The hospital also received an “A” rating from that organization during its spring assessment. The Leapfrog Group, which is an independent national watchdog organization, assigns either an “A,” “B,” “C,” “D” or “F” grade to general hospitals across the country based on 30 national performance measures, reflecting errors, accidents, injuries and infections, as well as the systems hospitals have in place to prevent harm.
