Mrs. Betty Ruth Adcock

Funeral service for Betty Ruth Adcock, 89, of Piedmont will be Tuesday
at 2:00 PM at Thompson Funeral Home with the Rev. Ken Byford
officiating.

Burial will follow at Gnatville Cemetery.

The family will
receive friends Tuesday one hour prior to services. Survivors include
her loving husband of 64 years, Virgil Adcock of Piedmont; daughter,
Angla Battles (Phil) of Sand Rock; son, Jeff Adcock (Laura Williams) of
Centre; three grandchildren, Megan Watkins (Rod), Ashley Watts (Mike)
and Brian Adams; two great grandchildren, Ellery Watkins and Weston
Adams; sister, Katherine Pope of Piedmont and several nieces and
nephews.

Pallbearers will be Roderick Watkins, James Dorsett, Brian
Adams, Phil Battles, Ricky Dale Jennings and Mike Watts.

Honorary
pallbearers will be the Alumni, Administration, and Faculty of the
Alabama School of Gospel Music.

Mrs. Adcock was a lifelong resident of
Piedmont and was a member of the Cumberland Presbyterian Church.

She had
owned her own flower shop and served on the Board of Registrars in
Cherokee County.

She loved her family and spending time with them and
was a wonderful cook.

Mrs. Adcock was preceded in death by her daughter,
Tamara Adams; parents, Marlin and Linnie Voils, and one sister, Bernice
Vanderford.
