Multiple Accidents in Cherokee County on Sunday

There were several accidents with injuries – and some, that just left occupants shaken up – Sunday afternoon, and early evening in Cherokee County.

According to Alabama State Troopers, a male from Jacksonville, in a 2003 Ford Explorer – on County Road 41 – left the roadway, and crashed into a utility pole after the engine shut down.  Both he, from Jacksonville, and a female resident of Gaylesville, were transported for treatment at a Rome hospital located in Georgia – that mishap was listed as taking place at 3:45pm.

At 3:48pm at 440 County Road 32 – one person was hurt – when a 2007 Chevy Silverado rolled over and ejected the driver listed as a male from Gadsden.  He was air-lifted to a medical facility –and assistance was also provided by Piedmont Rescue EMS with help from the Mt. Weisner and Centre Fire Departments.

At 3:50pm a two-vehicle wreck occurred on Highway 68 West at the Intersection with County Road 3 at Sand Rock, involving the vehicles of a Collinsville man – a 2007 Mazda – and, a 2010 Ford – being driven by a male from Cedar Bluff.  Fortunately – no one was hurt in that collision – emergency personnel did respond to that scene.

At 6:37pm – two vehicles – a 2014 Ford Escape, and a 2018 Ford Escape – were involved in a wreck in Cherokee County – luckily, no one was hurt in that mishap.

All incidents remain under the investigation of – Alabama State Troopers.
