Cherokee County, Alabama Man Arrested on Drug Charge in Summerville, Georgia

Summerville Police/DTF Make Drug Arrest in Summerville

Summerville Police – and the Lookout Mountain Judicial Circuit Drug Task Force recently arrested a 62-year-old Alabama man, on drug charges.  According to reports from the Summerville Police Department, law enforcement officials had recently been watching a house located on Favor Street due to high volumes of traffic – and suspected drug activity.  While an officer with the police department – and an agent with the drug task force were conducting surveillance – they noticed a woman with an active warrant going into the house. 

After securing the warrant, the officers made contact with the occupants of the house and arrested Amber Carmen Kirk Sipsy on the active warrant.  Another person at the house 62-year-old Billy Eugene Epps, Jr. of a Cedar Bluff address, was seen stuffing something between his legs in an attempt to hide it from law enforcement.

Officers located a glass pipe with suspected methamphetamine, and methamphetamine located inside a plastic bag – inside of a green plastic case.  Epps was placed under arrest, charged with both possession of methamphetamine, and also the possession of drug related objects – and he was booked into the Chattooga County Jail.
