Alabama State Troopers Respond to Three Separate Accidents Tuesday in Neighboring DeKalb County

Alabama State Troopers responded to three separate accidents with injuries Tuesday in neighboring DeKalb County.

According to reports, the first wreck was on I-59 at 4:10am, and involved a 2008 Ford, with the driver – a female from McIntosh, Alabama – being transported for treatment afterwards.

Two vehicles were involved in an accident that took place just a short time later at 6:15am on I-59 involving a 2021 Freightliner with the male driver, from New Mexico, being uninjured; also in the truck was a male, that was hurt in the mishap.  The driver of the other vehicle, a 1996 Lexus, had apparently broken down in the middle of the night and managed to get a ride home, before parking on the shoulder of the road.  The truck later hit the car, causing a great deal of damage.   Later that day, troopers responded to a three-vehicle accident – taking place at 4:15 on U.S. 411.  That wreck involved a 2012 Hyundai – driven by a male subject out of Theo, Alabama – and a 1999 Toyota out of Fort Payne and also a 2021 Kenworth from Florida.   And neither the driver of the big rig nor the driver of the Toyota was hurt in the crash BUT the driver of the Hyundai did require treatment.

We’ll have additional information as it becomes available.
