A two-vehicle wreck which took place at approximately 6:44am Tuesday (October 24th) – caused road blockage in neighboring DeKalb County; the northbound lanes on I-59 near the 204 mile marker are closed, and apparently will be, for an undetermined amount of time.
The Alabama Department of Transportation has set up a detour at the 188 mile marker, in Etowah County. State Troopers with the Alabama Law Enforcement Agency Highway Patrol Division continue to monitor the situation – and provide updates as they are made available.
