One Hurt in Single-Vehicle Wreck in Cherokee County on Monday

One person was hurt in a single-vehicle wreck taking place here in Cherokee County shortly after noon on Monday.

According to the Alabama State Trooper’s Post at Jacksonville, a 1986 Crown Victoria – driven by a male resident of Fort Payne – ran off the roadway and struck a tree.  The crash took place just after 1:00pm – at 428 County Road 80 – approximately six miles North of Cedar Bluff.  Afterwards, the driver was transported to Atrium Medical Center for treatment.

The cause of that wreck remains under investigation.
