Rock Spring Woman Charged with Arson in Chattooga County, Georgia

A 44-year-old Walker County, Georgia woman has been charged with arson in neighboring Chattooga County.   Julia Ledbetter Cotton reportedly admitted to setting fire to her former residence in Trion.  The woman told investigators she’d set fire to the home – because her father had forced her to move out.

Cotton is said to have started the fire at 34 Sunset Lane in Trion on Monday, September 25th, 2023, around 9:30 in the evening.   She is charged with first-degree felony arson in connection with the incident.
