The Cherokee County Coroner’s Office is currently investigating the death of an 18 year old female, Georgia College student.
She died from a fall while rock climbing, off of County Road 70 – in the area of Cherokee Rock Village on Saturday, October 14th. County Coroner Paul McDonald – stated Emergency Responders were notified of that fall, moments after the hour of 12:00noon. Deputy Coroner Blake Madaris identified the woman, as Yutung Zhang from Minnesota – who was a UGA Freshman. He made a next of kin notification at that point.
