Summerville Man Jailed In Rome Accused of Stealing

Joseph Lydell Edgeworth, 46 from Summerville, was arrested in Rome – this after reports indicated he was captured on security footage stealing $4,700 worth of merchandise, from a store that is located on Redmond Circle.  Police say that Edgeworth went into the store at around 3:00am on July 7th where he took both men’s and women’s clothing – as well as paintings, dinner sets, curtains, bed liners and more.

He is charged with felony Shoplifting and failure to Obey Traffic Control Devices.
