Hayes Arrested For Drugs after Traffic Stop

A 37-year-old Marble Springs Road, Summerville resident – was arrested recently after Summerville Police said that drugs were found in his possession.  According to the report recently released a Summerville Officer observed a vehicle being driven by the subject around midnight and he knew that the driver had a “limited driving permit”, and was only to drive to work and under certain limited conditions.

When the officer pulled the vehicle over and spoke to the driver the officer noticed an open container of alcohol and could smell marijuana coming from the vehicle. 

After a voluntary consent to search the officer found marijuana, methamphetamine and fentanyl.   Jesse Lee Hayes was charged with open container of alcohol and drug violations and was booked into the Chattooga County Jail.
