First responders were on the scene early on Wednesday, after a report of an accident involving a Box Truck, just after 6:10am.  That accident was on Highway 278 near County Road 45.

That wreck left the vehicle inside of the tree line with the driver entrapped; both Piedmont Rescue units and Spring Garden Fire Department personnel – worked to free the driver as quickly as possible.  It’s unclear at this point what lead to the accident occurring – or what the condition of the driver currently is. 

A helicopter was dispatched to the scene, with the landing zone, set up at the Spring Garden Baseball Field.
