Man Arrested For Attempt to Commit Child Molestation
A 63-year-old Rome, Georgia man was jailed earlier this week – (Tuesday) on charges of criminal attempt to commit aggravated child molestation, obscene internet contact with a child and the use of a computer to entice a child.
According to Floyd County Jail records – Donnie Wayne Phelps met someone that he believed to be under the age of 16 online – engaged in a graphic conversation – and asked to meet the child for sex acts. He then traveled to an undisclosed location in Floyd County – in an attempt to meet the child – and was arrested.
