Rome Woman Accused of Stealing Thousands of Dollars From Her Employer

A 34-year-old Rome woman is accused of stealing $36,500 from her employer.  According to the warrants, on March 30th of this year Ashlei Leann Latimer made a check out to herself using the Paper Recovery of Georgia’s checking account – she then cashed the check for $30,000 at a local bank.

She cashed two more checks – July 3rd and August 2nd – one for $5,000 and the other for $1,500.

Latimer is charged with three felony counts of Theft by Taking.
