Rogers runs wild in Collinsville homecoming rout of Gaston

COLLINSVILLE – Collinsville running back Quintavious Rogers ran for 164 yards and four first-quarter touchdowns on just seven carries Friday night on homecoming, leading the Panthers in a 47-0 rout of Gaston.

Rogers, who also had an interception on defense, scored on runs of 66, 61, 4 and 8 yards to provide the Panthers (4-1) a 27-0 advantage. Lucas McDaniel opened the second-quarter scoring with his 12-yard touchdown run. Mason McAteer tossed a 93-yard touchdown pass to Gavin Lang late in the second quarter to give the Panthers a 40-0 halftime lead.

McAteer connected with McDaniel on an 11-yard touchdown pass in the third for the final.

McAteer completed 6 of his 8 pass attempts for 165 yards and a pair of touchdowns. Lang caught five passes for 154 yards.

Collinsville hosts Fyffe on Friday. Gaston (1-4) is at Holly Pond.
