One of Cherokee County’s best-known – highly-respected – AND TRULY NICE individuals, just received an incredible honor from the world of NASCAR: Tina Gordon, along with her husband and son, and the complete pit crew, recently attended a very special ceremony as she had one of her cars added to the International Motorsports Hall of Fame’s newest exhibit, honoring Alabama racing greats, located at Talladega Superspeedway.
Gordon without a doubt loved what she did – finding racing a lot more enjoyable without the hard times that many people imagined:
Planning of the Alabama Racing Heritage exhibit took about two years, with two more halls to renovated within the next year, according to The International Motorsports Hall of Fame.
In addition to Gordon, the exhibit also pays homage to several other Alabama drivers, including Bobby, Donnie and Davey Allison, as well as Red Farmer.
