Woman Charged with Filing Fraudulent Accident Claims

Warrants:  Woman Filed More Than Half a Million Dollars in Fraudulent Accident Claims

A Georgia woman now stands accused of submitting more than a million and a half dollars in fraudulent insurance claims.  The 54 year old, Denna Rochelle Conaway, reportedly had initiated an accident claim on October 5th, of 2022, stating she had fallen while hiking in Arizona.

However, it turns out Yuma Regional Hospital had NO record of Conaway being a patient.  She also submitted a FAKE invoice for $81,233.95 along with a case report and X-ray images, receiving $10,250 from her insurance company.

Then October 15th of 2022, she filed a claim stating her son had surgeries as the result of an automobile accident, with the work at Baptist Health in Miami, Florida.  The claim was for $35,618. However – her son was nowhere to be found listed anywhere in the hospital’s records as a patient.

Then, on November 17th, 2022, Conaway submitted an accident claim for surgery at the Dignity Health Hospital – located in Los Angeles, California, from an attempted purse snatching incident

That claim was for $1,440,167.  Again, Conaway was NOT found in the hospital’s system as being a patient.

Conaway is charged with three counts of felony insurance fraud and six counts of 1st degree forgery.
