Centre City Council Meeting

During, the Centre City Council meeting on Tuesday Shawn Rodgers the County EMA Director proposed the three year 9-1-1 contract for 148,420.87. This was proposed under the understanding it will be adjusted accordingly yearly. This was approved by the Council.

Mayor Mansfield, told the Council that Tom McElrath the architect on the gym renovation should be accepted. The Phase 1 bid is $407, 900 . The floors will take 8 weeks to come in. Building Inspector Raymond Matthews told the Council this is a big step but it’s the way to go economically. Matthews, said Phase 2 will be similar both Phase’s will be close to a million. This was approved by the Council.

The sealed bid for the Hatcher Community Center was opened at the Council Meeting. It was for $ 35,177.35 and was the lone bid. Raymond Matthews said this was $6000 over the quote he received last year. This item was tabled until the next Council Meeting.

The Council Reviewed and adopted the Budget for the fiscal year 2023-2024.

The Fall Clean up will be October !6 through the 20th. Bags are in for citizens to pick up.

Mayor Mansfield, commended everyone for doing a great job for the city of Centre.
