According to Cherokee County Sheriff Jeff Shaver – a man from Gadsden attempted to elude a several law enforcement officials in the Ellisville area on Monday afternoon.
Chief Investigator Brown and Investigator Hairston – observed a vehicle traveling in the middle of the roadway, and attempted to pull the driver over. That vehicle refused to stop and began a chase that later ended when the vehicle came to rest, on County Road 14.

The driver, 24 year old Joshua Dwayne Bailey Jr., was taken into custody.
He was transported to the Cherokee County Detention Center – and charged with Attempting to Elude, Unlawful Possession of a Controlled Substance, and also the Unlawful Possession of Drug Paraphernalia.
