A pedestrian was hit and killed by an oncoming vehicle early on Saturday evening in neighboring Etowah County.
According to Alabama State Troopers the incident occurred just after 7:00pm on Alabama 132 when the 2012 Jeep Wrangler hit, and fatally injured, a 33 year old Altoona woman. The driver, a resident from Altoona as well – told the officers, that she simply didn’t see the woman – who was wearing dark clothing – until it was too late.
That incident remains under the investigation of Alabama State Troopers.
