Fourth Man Indicted on Murder Charges in Rome, Georgia

 

A fourth man that was indicted recently on murder charges – in connection with a shooting that took place in North Rome back  on May 21st, 2021 – is now in custody.

23-year-old Marquivias Shabron Nicholson was also indicted on charges of participation in criminal street gang activity and also aggravated assault, and battery – by a Floyd County Grand Jury in August.  Nicholson with 20-year-old’s Justin Antonio Glynn and Malachai Alexander Williams, and 18-year-old Corey Lashun Chatman Jr., are accused in the shooting death of Derricus Smith on Perkins Street.  Glynn, Williams, and Chatman were already in custody.

Nicholson was taken into custody on Wednesday in the lobby of the Floyd County Jail.
