This week’s “Spotlight” – is on Cherokee County Deputy Warden Summer Sutton!
“As the daughter of a highly decorated Police Officer – I grew up watching him make a difference in the lives of so many people in our community and that planted the seed in me to want to be involved in helping people. Working in the detention center I am able to counsel individuals that reach out for help and want to change their lives. I enjoy that each day at work is different.
I was blessed with the best mother in life. She has taught me to care for others by the way she raised my sisters and I. I set out – every day – to hopefully be an example of the love that she has shown. I carry that into every decision I make in the detention center whether it is with staff or inmates.
The best advice I have ever received was from my mom – “Live like you are dying, Love because you are loved.”
Cherokee County Sheriff Jeff Shaver says “…help us to celebrate Deputy Warden Sutton – and show appreciation for all she does in our Detention Center!”
