Two people were hurt in a collision between a 2013 Kia – and a 2017 Nissan – Tuesday evening in Etowah County.

According to Alabama State Troopers both drivers were injured in the collision – a female from the Gadsden area in the Kia, and a female from Rome, Georgia in the Nissan.

No additional information has been released regarding injuries – both were transported from the scene on Highway 411 at Mile Marker 223 – for treatment at an area hospital.

The wreck, which occurred around 6:30 that evening – remains under investigation by Alabama State Troopers.
