Floyd County Police responded to a fatal two-vehicle wreck that took place on Friday afternoon in the Silver Creek area.
According to police, the driver of a Ford F-150 was traveling on Jake Whorton Road – ran a stop sign – and struck a Nissan 350Z which was traveling on Burkhalter Road. The driver of the Nissan – 58-year-old John Kenneth Henderson of Silver Creek, was killed. The 17-year-old driver of the pickup was transported to the hospital for treatment.
