Piedmont junior quarterback Cole Wilson completed 5-of-12 pass attempts for 149 yards and tossed two touchdown passes in leading the Bulldogs to a 14-14 football scrimmage tie at Fyffe on Friday.

Ishmael Bethel caught a 70-yard touchdown pass and Rollie Pinto added a 15-yard scoring reception.

Both teams open the 2023 season next Friday. Piedmont hosts Cherokee County, while Fyffe hosts Geraldine.

In other scrimmage action on Friday night, Collinsville posted a 14-6 win over Pleasant Valley, but the Panthers fell to Hokes Bluff 7-0.

Collinsville opens the 2023 season next Friday at Gaylesville.
