Cedar Bluff drops Crane’s football coaching debut at Winterboro, 33-7

ALPINE – The Winterboro Bulldogs built a 20-point halftime advantage and cruised to a 33-7 season-opening football win over visiting Cedar Bluff on Thursday night in the debut of new Tiger head coach Garrett Crane.

Hunter Jenkins scored Cedar Bluff’s lone touchdown on a 2-yard run in the third quarter. Carter Dillingham added the extra point to make it a 20-7 game, but the Bulldogs pulled away with two more touchdowns for the final.

Cedar Bluff (0-1) travels to Sand Rock next Friday. Winterboro (1-0) is at Vincent.
