The City of Anniston asks that everyone please be aware of high temperatures that are projected to remain above 90 degrees for the rest of this week. Moving forward, city leadership would like the public to be aware of the following safe places that will offer shelter from the heat:

• Interfaith Ministries of Calhoun County

  • Open from 1:30 PM until 4:00 PM, Monday through Thursday.

• United Way Cooling Station at The Bridge

  • Address: Anniston First United Methodist Church (1400 Noble St, Anniston, AL 36201)

  • Open August 25th through August 27th from 9:00 AM to 5:00 PM each day.
