The Police Department in Rome, Georgia is seeking the public’s help in identifying a suspect in an armed robbery that occurred on July 31st at the Redmond Food Mart located on the Redmond Circle in Rome.

At around 2:00am, deputies responded to the Redmond Food Mart at 1389 Redmond Circle in reference to an armed robbery – and that male subject, short in stature and build, entered the store, approached the sales counter and then showed a firearm which was in his waistband as he demanded money.

That suspect was wearing a dark sweatshirt, denim pants, tan boots, a light-colored ball cap, and a white medical face mask.  A number of clothing items, including the mask, were abandoned in a vacant lot across from the store after the incident.
