This week’s “Law Enforcement Spotlight” is on one of Cherokee County’s most popular School Resource Officers – Deputy Kasey West.
“Law Enforcement was something I always had an interest in, but life just got in the way, therefore my career was much later than most. I became an officer after my children were out of school. I’m the SRO at Cherokee County High School, where my entire family attended and graduated.
My favorite part is interacting with all the students – and they’ll keep you on your toes for sure!
And someone I admired once told me, ‘Always show respect and look people directly in the eye’. I’ve found this always tells a lot about a person. One piece of advice is honesty really is the best policy, for everything.”
Help us celebrate SRO Deputy West – and show appreciation for all that she does!
