Three Vehicle Accident at Walmart in Centre

That accident occurred about 1:15 this afternoon today. At 1950 West Main Street in Centre which is located in front of Walmart. A red pickup truck collided  with two sedans resulting in a an injury to at least one driver and a passenger in one of the vehicles was suffering from chest pains. One person was transported to Atrium Floyd Cherokee Hospital two others were transported Atrium Floyd in Rome.

Chief Kirk Blankenship said many accidents occurring at that intersection could be avoided if drivers would pay attention to the lights and the yellow flashing left turn signal does not give motorists the right to turn without first checking for oncoming traffic. The flashing left turn signal means to yield to oncoming traffic. When the left turn signal is green it means the drivers have the right to turn. Please use extreme caution in this area.
