Two-Vehicle Crash in Cherokee County Early Thursday

What was originally called in as a single car accident in the very early morning hours of Thursday, actually turned out to involve TWO vehicles.

The driver of a vehicle called around 5:10am in order to report to authorities that she had been sideswiped by another vehicle, sending her car down an embankment.  She also stated that the other vehicle appeared to be heading from that area of Highway 35 – near County Road 15 and Highway 273 in Cherokee County – toward Fort Payne.

When emergency personnel arrived on the scene, just moments later they found a SECOND vehicle – rolled over not too far from the scene of the initial call.

It DOES NOT APPEAR that anyone was actually hurt in the mishap.

We’ll have the final accident report, as soon as it’s completed by Alabama State Troopers.
