Excessive heat is forecast across many southeastern portions of Central Alabama today.  Residents should exercise heat safety if spending time outdoors. Take frequent breaks in the shade and stay hydrated.

Severe thunderstorms are possible across many southeastern portions of Central Alabama this afternoon and evening. The primary hazards include damaging winds and large hail.

Wednesday through Monday.

No hazardous weather is expected at this time.

SPOTTER INFORMATION STATEMENT

Activation of storm spotters and emergency management may be necessary today.
