Eight Arrested on Drug Charges in Stevenson

A total of eight people were arrested – on various drug charges, Friday afternoon after a number of law enforcement, and other officials, executed a search warrant at a residence in Stevenson.  The Jackson County Sheriff’s Office along with Hollywood Police and Stevenson Police – took part in searching the home, located on County Road 287.  During the search officers located and seized some 326.4 grams of a Methamphetamine/Fentanyl mix, 102 grams of marijuana, an assortment of controlled pills along with a firearm and other drug paraphernalia.

The eight Alabamians arrested and taken to the Jackson County Jail in connection with the case are as follows:

Michael Keith Garrard, age 49 of Stevenson, was charged with Trafficking Fentanyl, three counts of the Unlawful Possession of Controlled Substances, Possession of Marijuana, and Possession of Drug Paraphernalia – with a bond set at $33,500.

James Stacy Dunn, age 47 from Hollywood was charged with the Trafficking of Fentanyl, with Unlawful Possession of Controlled Substances, Possession of Marijuana and the Possession of Drug Paraphernalia with a bond set at $28,500.

Adam Joe Dunn, age 47 of Bridgeport – charged with Trafficking Fentanyl, with a bond set at $25,000.

James Kenneth Carter, age 34, of Bridgeport, was charged with Unlawful Possession of Controlled Substances – and Loitering in a Drug House; he was released with a bond of $2,800, according to the Jackson County Sheriff’s Office inmate roster.

Christopher Odel Taylor, age 35 of Stevenson, was charged with Possession of Drug Paraphernalia, and Loitering in Drug House, with a bond set at $964.

Stephanie Nicole Monk, age 24 of Bridgeport, was charged with Loitering in a Drug House.  Monk was released with a bond of $500 – according to the Jackson County Sheriff inmate roster.

Melanie Lynette Carano, age 51, of Stevenson, was charged with Unlawful Possession of Controlled Substances – and Possession of Drug Paraphernalia, with a bond set at $500.

And Tristan Lee Sawyer, age 24 of Bridgeport, was charged with Loitering in a Drug House, with a bond set at $500.
