During the Leesburg Town Council Meeting, the council approved for Mayor Brandy Pierce to sign a sewer grant contract with Ladd Environmental. The Town’s grant for sewer improvements is for $563,700.

Abby Yates, the new owner of Decks and Docks, applied for a liquor license in her name with the council approving.

The council approved for Donnie Weaver Electrical to wire the Fire Hall smokehouse enclosure in the amount of $1,200 plus cost of materials. The council approved an annual resolution for Rebuild Alabama.

Special training for the police department was approved for $69 per employee with the training being virtual.

The council recessed to executive session for the purpose of discussing real estate transactions. After the executive session, the council reconvened the regular session with Mayor Pierce asking the council to approve the sale of the medical building on U.S. Highway 411 to KTH for the appraised price of $230,000. The council also approved the purchase of a parcel of land adjacent to the Town’s Lokey Street property in the amount of $5,000.
