A cow was struck and killed early this (Thursday) morning near the Collinsville Exit in neighboring DeKalb County.
At around 6:20, a motorist phoned and informed Alabama State Troopers of the situation and used his vehicle’s flashers to keep anyone else from striking the animal in the roadway; there was no sign of the vehicle that was actually involved in the mishap – and the case remains under investigation by State Troopers.
