The City of Centre and the Cherokee County Chamber of Commerce held an official Ribbon Cutting on the new Aquatic Center on Tuesday at 10 am.

Al Shumaker was in attendance for the event. He had these comments:

Mayor Mansfield cut the ribbon and then had these comments:

Mayor Mansfield said this is the last full week the Aquatic Center will be open during the week due to school starting for another term. The Center will be open on weekends only through Labor Day  and then be closed until next swimming season in 2024.
