According to Centre Police Chief Kirk Blankenship, a 41 year old North Carolina man was taken into custody at his residence by the Gaston County Police Department in North Carolina on Friday.
Stephen Thomas Smith, 41, was identified as being involved in sending explicit messages through several platforms and was later positively identified as the investigation continued.
The investigation was led by Chief Inv. Randy Mayorga. Smith is currently being held on 5 outstanding warrants of Transmitting Obscene Material To a Minor.
All individuals are presumed innocent until proven guilty in a court of law.
