On Wednesday morning, July 25th, Cherokee County Deputies responded to Gaylesville High School in reference to the theft of property that occurred on Tuesday night into the early morning hours of Wednesday.

Gaylesville High School staff member, Coach Curt Hendon, had arrived at the school early that Wednesday morning for various maintenance preparation around the school yard and noticed a door had been forced open to the Baseball Field House (nothing has been reported missing), and also the school bus that he was supposed to be driving in a few hours was missing, along with a Kawasaki Mule with a purple “G” on it.

The bus itself was soon located on property that neighbored the school and no damage has been reported.

That Kawasaki Mule with Gaylesville’s Purple “G” on it has not yet been located.

Sheriff’s Office Investigators were notified – and they have been working on identifying the two juvenile males believed to have been involved – and locating the Kawasaki Mule.
