Centre Police Arrest Arkansas Man on Number of Charges, Including “Sex Offender”

According to Chief Kirk Blankenship with the Centre Police Department – a 41 year old Arkansas man was recently placed under arrest locally.

The Centre Police Department conducted an investigation led by Chief Investigator Randy Mayorga, in the earlier part of July, where the offender was positively identified as being Jason Eugene Lawrence of Forrest City, Arkansas.

Lawrence was also identified to be a registered sex offender already – and was currently being supervised by the St. Francis County Sheriff’s Office in Arkansas. The St. Francis County Sheriff’s Office was contacted after warrants were obtained for Lawrence. A search warrant executed at Lawrence’s residence revealed evidence that is pertinent with the case investigation.

Currently, Lawrence has two outstanding warrants for his arrest for Transmitting Obscene Material to a Minor.
