Attorney General Attends Fallen Officer Memorial Service In Cherokee County

Steve Marshall, Attorney General of the State, made a visit to the Cherokee County Administration Building last Tuesday morning to pay tribute to A Fallen Officer, Corporal Keith Morgan who worked with the Sheriff’s Department and died from COVID while employed at the Sheriff’s Department.

Sheriff Shaver accepted the Praying Hands and a Commendation from the Attorney General on behalf of the Morgan Family who could not attend the service.

Attorney General Marshall read the commendation from his office.

 

Sheriff Jeff Shaver, Chief Deputy Josh Summerford, and several coworkers of Corporal Morgan attended the Ceremony. Also in attendance were District Attorney Summer Summerford, Probate Judge/Commission Chairman Tim Burgess, Revenue Commissioner Dustin StClair, County Commissioner Ronnie Shaw, District Judge Wes Mobley, and many others.
